GREAT SUCCESS

Well it sure was a long haul but was well worth it when you see many smiling faces all around you and hear all the compliments that were given to me through out the 3 days.

Yes the swarm for Jan has ended and I would like very much to say thanks to the wonderful group of ladies that was able to share it with me. They were so friendly, caring, happy, and most all so very helpful through out the weekend. What a wonderful group. We even got a name for our first swarm. This group is now called the Hot Mama's of Jax Swarm. Boy where they hot those 3 days getting all their projects finished and still having time to enter contest and doing classes. They sure were go getters.

I am sorry about the weight gain you girls all told me about. Some said they gained 2 lbs and some gained 5 lbs. One said she gained 10 lbs the dr said but no way did she do that in my three day watch. Sorry girl can't blame me on that one.

I would like to thank Jodie, Jeannie and Michelle from Scrapnstamp for giving such wonderful and interesting classes. They were a great success!
Michelle I especially want to thank you for your time as I know you were getting your husband ready for him to leave the state for a week. So tell John thanks for sharing you so the girls could learn more about the cricut.

There were many gifts given out with the sound of bells going off. I need to thank Wilma from the sign shop of Jacksonville for that. She suggested to me that I might be having to many bells and whistles but that is A.K. has to always have more than anyone could expect. I have had many friends who have tried to change me but sorry can't do it. A. K. is A. K. to old to change. But let me say this the bells were a huge hit for my swarm. Everyone had a blast.

Every time the ladies heard just a jingle of the sound of a bell going off they got so excited as they knew what was going to happen next. I would shake them quietly in the other room then you would hear the excitement and the girls screaming as they knew someone was going to receive a special gift. The bells like I said started off softly then i would shake them harder and louder and then I would start screaming we have a winner. We all laughed and had just a great time.

Our little Cricut Friend sure got a lot of attention. He was passed around and around amongst all the ladies. Sometimes Mercedes and Ching would steal it back quicker than the other ladies wanted them to but I think everyone got their share of gifts.
The information that was told to me, when my husband and buddy came in earlier to fix breakfast on Sunday for the ladies. The ladies that happen to be there, he gave them extra gifts and I think he told them not to tell me. They were all laughing. So they got a few that those other two girls didn't. They won't know that unless they read this. Ha!ha!

Then we had few contest and I want to congratulate all the winners. Your names will be posted soon.

I have lots more to say but sorry need to get back with you later. Have appt's. I will keep you posted and we are still trying to gather pictures.

Classes

I just had lunch at Olive Garden with Jodie and Conchita. The food was tasty and so delicious and the company was fabulous. While there we got into a conversation about the swarm that will be happening in a few weeks. Ooh! the time is ticking and I sure don't want to get a lickin so I better get going so I will have this swarm flowing! Did I say that? Mmm! look what you girls are in for. Think your going to be able to put up with me for 55 hours?

Jodie has informed me that she and Jeanne have great classes planned for us. I am so excited I can't wait. Just the thought of having so many hours to crop till we crash! To eat, drink, learn, win gifts and most all enjoy each others company. Wow! Who wouldn't want to do that.

Jodie has also informed me that she will have a picture of the layout kit she has prepared so hopefully I can get it posted for you all to see. Jodie does fine work. Thanks girl!

I too will try and get the card kits posted hopefully next week.

I have all the gifts ready and waiting. Remember you must be in attendance to recieve your gifts. They will be given out during the 3 days. You will never know when your name will be called.

Things to remember if your participating in the home cricut layout contest.

You must remember to have your cricut layout that you made from home put on the contest table right when you arrive. Please ask AK or Bonnie for a special ticket for you to win a special gift. This gift will be given to you after the announcement of the winner.

This ticket is seperate from the ticket you will recieve when you enter which will be for the grand prize on Sunday.

If you do not have it available right after you come in, you will not be eligible for that special ticket but you still will be eligible to enter the contest for first and second place winners.

I myself can't wait to see everyone's work.

Because of the holiday, if you think you need an extention on paying for registration please speak to Jodie, she will be the only one who would be able to accommodate your request. Did everyone survive the hustle and bustle of the holidays!

Hello Everyone! I sure hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and Santa was good to everyone.
I myself had a very nice one, enjoying our grandchildren opening presents and getting so excited. My grandson Hunter who is 4 was upset with his dad as he left twigs in the fireplace and Santa had to land on them and then he ripped his pants as Hunter found a piece of Santa's red pants on the metal rack the wood sits on. The rack was even knocked out of the fireplace. Hunter got excited when he saw the Cookie crumbs that were left in the fireplace. He also told his dad not to start a fire Christmas eve as he didn't want Santa to get burned. We all laughed.
On Christmas Eve Santa drop in my home for a visit while we had company. All the grandchildren were screaming and so excited to see him thru the window and then Santa knocked on the door. We let him in and he threw snow all over everyone. It was so much fun. Santa had a gift for everyone that was there even me. I got to sit on his lap too.
One of my friends we'll she was not being so good as I think she was flirting with Santa. I was watching her and she didn't take her eyes off of him. She grinned from ear to ear. Then when it was her turn to sit on his lap boy she was really smiling and Santa was blushing. Mmm! I was getting a little worried as I know Santa left poor Mrs. Clause home. Mmm! I also know it gets pretty cold outside for him and only flying with his Reindeers all night long I am sure it gets pretty lonely. But between you and me I think my friend talked Santa in going home with her. Watch out Mrs. Clause think you might have some competion. Santa was sure doing a lot of Ho Ho-ing.



Well just wanted to drop in and let everyone know the time is coming, it's right around the corner and we can leave all that hustle and bustle behind us.
We can concentrate on having a great time at the retreat. Is everyone ready? I guess I should be saying am I ready for everyone!

Well I still have lots of work to do and will be getting started on it in a couple of days once again.

YOU DON'T NEED TO OWN A CRICUT TO COME

If you don't own a cricut or don't even want to bother with one that that is no problem. This is a retreat that is willing to help those who want to learn about one but it is also a scrapbooking retreat. If you just like scrapbooking or making cards or any paper project that is fine too. Everyone is welcome to work on what ever they want for the 55 hours.

Those that don't want anything to do with the cricut but would like to attend I will make sure we have contests for you to participate in. You won't have to use the cricut. I want this to fair for all scrapbookers. Just want a fun and relaxing weekend.

If you don't want to stay but a few hours each day that is fine. What ever is comfortable for you. But remember to at least be back for the food, games and prizes. Thats the fun part!

This is just a getaway for those who want to be with other cricut and scrapbook sisters. This would be a great time to work on a project you have been trying to get done for awhile and haven't been able to for some reason or another. It is also a great way to relax after the holidays. So come and relax and have a great time.

DRAWING

When you come into the lodge you will be given a ticket. If for some reason you don't get one please ask AK or Bonnie for one.
Please make sure you hold onto it as there will be a drawing on Sunday at noon. Keep it in a safe place. You must be present to win.

CONTEST ENTRIES

TWO PAGE LAYOUT

There will be a table set up for all entries.

You DO NOT HAVE TO USE YOUR CRICUT TO MAKE THIS 2 pg. LAYOUT. This must be done on site and must have it turned in on Sat. at ONE O'CLOCK.
There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner. Winners will be announced around 1:30 pm Saturday.
You must be on site to collect your prize.

HOME LAYOUT CONTEST

1st & 2nd prize only goes to the layout that is most creative using the most cricut cuts items.
This one is done at home and the entry must be put on the table Friday when you enter. You will then ask for a special ticket so you will have a chance to win another prize beside tring to win the 1st and 2nd place. The winners will be announce after dinner.


VALENTINE CARD CONTEST

There will be only one winner for this contest. You must use the cricut to create your card and must be done on site.

Entries must be turned in on Friday by 7:00 pm Winner will be announced about 7:30

5 PRODUCT CARD

okay ladies let's get the creative juices going. You can enter a card using 5 different products of any kind. Must list the product used and if you win please explain how you used each product. Entry must be in on Sunday at noon. Winner will be announced at 1:00 pm
