Did everyone survive the hustle and bustle of the holidays!

Hello Everyone! I sure hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and Santa was good to everyone.
I myself had a very nice one, enjoying our grandchildren opening presents and getting so excited. My grandson Hunter who is 4 was upset with his dad as he left twigs in the fireplace and Santa had to land on them and then he ripped his pants as Hunter found a piece of Santa's red pants on the metal rack the wood sits on. The rack was even knocked out of the fireplace. Hunter got excited when he saw the Cookie crumbs that were left in the fireplace. He also told his dad not to start a fire Christmas eve as he didn't want Santa to get burned. We all laughed.
On Christmas Eve Santa drop in my home for a visit while we had company. All the grandchildren were screaming and so excited to see him thru the window and then Santa knocked on the door. We let him in and he threw snow all over everyone. It was so much fun. Santa had a gift for everyone that was there even me. I got to sit on his lap too.
One of my friends we'll she was not being so good as I think she was flirting with Santa. I was watching her and she didn't take her eyes off of him. She grinned from ear to ear. Then when it was her turn to sit on his lap boy she was really smiling and Santa was blushing. Mmm! I was getting a little worried as I know Santa left poor Mrs. Clause home. Mmm! I also know it gets pretty cold outside for him and only flying with his Reindeers all night long I am sure it gets pretty lonely. But between you and me I think my friend talked Santa in going home with her. Watch out Mrs. Clause think you might have some competion. Santa was sure doing a lot of Ho Ho-ing.



Well just wanted to drop in and let everyone know the time is coming, it's right around the corner and we can leave all that hustle and bustle behind us.
We can concentrate on having a great time at the retreat. Is everyone ready? I guess I should be saying am I ready for everyone!

Well I still have lots of work to do and will be getting started on it in a couple of days once again.

YOU DON'T NEED TO OWN A CRICUT TO COME

If you don't own a cricut or don't even want to bother with one that that is no problem. This is a retreat that is willing to help those who want to learn about one but it is also a scrapbooking retreat. If you just like scrapbooking or making cards or any paper project that is fine too. Everyone is welcome to work on what ever they want for the 55 hours.

Those that don't want anything to do with the cricut but would like to attend I will make sure we have contests for you to participate in. You won't have to use the cricut. I want this to fair for all scrapbookers. Just want a fun and relaxing weekend.

If you don't want to stay but a few hours each day that is fine. What ever is comfortable for you. But remember to at least be back for the food, games and prizes. Thats the fun part!

This is just a getaway for those who want to be with other cricut and scrapbook sisters. This would be a great time to work on a project you have been trying to get done for awhile and haven't been able to for some reason or another. It is also a great way to relax after the holidays. So come and relax and have a great time.

DRAWING

When you come into the lodge you will be given a ticket. If for some reason you don't get one please ask AK or Bonnie for one.
Please make sure you hold onto it as there will be a drawing on Sunday at noon. Keep it in a safe place. You must be present to win.

CONTEST ENTRIES

TWO PAGE LAYOUT

There will be a table set up for all entries.

You DO NOT HAVE TO USE YOUR CRICUT TO MAKE THIS 2 pg. LAYOUT. This must be done on site and must have it turned in on Sat. at ONE O'CLOCK.
There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner. Winners will be announced around 1:30 pm Saturday.
You must be on site to collect your prize.

HOME LAYOUT CONTEST

1st & 2nd prize only goes to the layout that is most creative using the most cricut cuts items.
This one is done at home and the entry must be put on the table Friday when you enter. You will then ask for a special ticket so you will have a chance to win another prize beside tring to win the 1st and 2nd place. The winners will be announce after dinner.


VALENTINE CARD CONTEST

There will be only one winner for this contest. You must use the cricut to create your card and must be done on site.

Entries must be turned in on Friday by 7:00 pm Winner will be announced about 7:30

5 PRODUCT CARD

okay ladies let's get the creative juices going. You can enter a card using 5 different products of any kind. Must list the product used and if you win please explain how you used each product. Entry must be in on Sunday at noon. Winner will be announced at 1:00 pm

NEED A HOTEL

Anyone needing a hotel for the weekend please send me an email and I will try and find the best rate I can for you.

Also there is no lodging at solomon but if you wanted to bring a blow up mattress, blanket, and your pillow you are welcome to put upstairs in the meeting room. So you can rest when ever you needed too. But remember there are no showers there.

If you wanted to save on a hotel night then you could bring the mattress and spend Friday night and then go to your hotel room for Sat.

This is just a suggestion to those who are traveling from out of town.

SALE OF YOUR OWN MERCHANDISE

I am going to be setting up tables for you to make a few dollars while cropping and having fun. I am sure no one wouldn't mind making some money.

Please bring in what ever items you do not use anymore and want to get rid of. This way you can have room for the new stuff. Good thinking uh! I have a few friends that would tell me to take my own advise. Hey I try to get rid of my stuff at times. But it sure is hard!

Anyways please put your name and price on your items. You will recieve the profit minus 10 percent which is going to be donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

So hurry start now, as the holidays are coming up so quickly and by the time they are over, you will need room I am sure in your craft rooms.
